WATER RESTRICTION QUICK GUIDE

Water Waste Prohibitions:

  • It is prohibited to waste water.

  • No overwatering.

  • Fix plumbing leaks within 24 hours of discovery
    .
  • Shut-off nozzles are required on all hoses. (Shut-off nozzles will be available for free at the District Office, while supplies last.)

  • Fountains and decorative water features that do not re-circulate water are prohibited.

  • Do not let water run while not in use.

Mandatory Restrictions:

  • No watering or irrigating between the hours of 10AM- 5PM.

  • Outdoor irrigation is permitted only 2 days a week.
  • Do not wash down hard or paved surfaces.

  • Do not initially fill, or drain and refill residential swimming pools.

  • Shut-off nozzles are required on all hoses. (Free nozzles are available at the District Office.)

Violation Penalties:

  • First Offense:
Written notice of violation and an opportunity to correct violation will be issued.
  • Second Offense:
A second violation that takes place within one year of initial violation will be issued a $100 fine.
  • Third Offense:
A third violation within one year will be issued a $250 fine. 
  • Fourth Offense:
The fourth violation within one year will be issued a $500 fine.
  • Fifth Offense:
A water flow restrictor may be installed or the water service may be disconnected.

All penalties will be included in the following month’s water bill. Nonpayment will be subject to the same remedies as nonpayment of basic water rates.

Customers may appeal the notice of violation by filing a written notice of appeal with the District no later than the close of the business, the day before the date scheduled for enforcement action, accompanied by a $25 appeal fee.
